Donate Life Run/Walk - April 28, 2012

Teams play a very important role in the Donate Life Run/Walk. So round up everyone you know, think of a catchy team name and get ready to join in the fun on April 28th, 2012!

We help make forming a team easy and provide helpful tips on team building and fundraising. For teams of 25 or more, registered on line before April 13th, 2012 Donate Life Event Directors will offer the following team incentives:

1. On-line registration with a team captain through Active.com

2. On-line fundraising team page through Active.com

3. Team Captain will receive team package which will include ideas on team building and fundraising. ActiveGiving.com

4. Day of Event:

A. Exclusive check-in area for teams of 25+ team members.
(must register team of 25 + members on-line by April 13th)

B. Donate life concierge to assist assist with team check in (must register team of 25+ by April 13, 2012)

C. Team Captain receives event t-shirt and Team Captain Thank You Package

D. All team members will receive complimentary Donate Life event t-shirt and team member thank you gifts

Tips on Forming a Team

1. Choose a Team Captain
The Team Captain is the motivator and organizer of the team and serves as the contact person with Donate Life Run/Walk Team Leaders. The Team Captain is responsible for relaying information to the team and motivating them to do their best.

2. Starting a Team
Sign onto www.donateliferunwalk.org and click on Register On-line which will connect to Active.com. Once on Active.com, register as a Team Captain and name your team. By registering your team on-line, all donations and individual team member registrations are collected and updated through the website. It will take 90% of the work out of your hands! If you prefer not to register on-line, please refer to the FAQ page.

3. Recruit
Once you have registered, you will be assigned an on-line fundraising team page through Active.com. Set a goal to recruit at least 10 members for your team. (For teams of 25 or more, special team incentives are offered; view subsequent page). Email your team name and Active.com team fundraising page link to co-workers and ask them to join your team.

4. Promote
If your family, friends and co-workers are unable to join the team, ask them to make an on-line donation.

5. Have FUN!
Support your team with an enthusiastic attitude….it’s contagious. Cheer your team to meet or exceed their goal.
